On every Thursday night, The Leederville Comedy Club is the perfect after work event for your organisation's social club. Our club is centrally based at the newly renovated Leederville Hotel in the iconic Red Room. A great area for pre-show dinner and drink options! We offer discounts for group purchases on ticket sales.

Who are we?
Grassroots Comedy is a locally owned WA business run by professional comedians who want to put on high calibre high standard shows that we are happy to curate, control and put our name towards. In the last 2 years alone, we've succesfully delivered over 400 shows across the state, along with 4 festivals. We work with the likes of Comedy Central, Token and A-List - all top tier organisations that manage world class comedians. We've had Stephen K Amos, Tom Ballard (ABC), Mark Normand (Netflix) and many more comics on tour, stopping by to perform at our events
Is comedy a good idea for a work or social function?
Absolutely! We cover plenty of topics but our whole goal is to focus on being accessible and funny for everyone attending the show. How? We did the math! By setting up showcases of 5-6 comedians on a whole lineup - it gives everyone a baseline to enjoy at least 4 acts on average. This is based on our 20+ years experience delivering and performing shows in WA. By the law of averages, there is something for everyone!
Can you cater to specific industries?
Yes! We have 300 local comics in Perth alone. We endeavour to book performers who can add that extra dimension and context to your industry.
A good example is a social club for first responders (paramedics, police, fire) who enquired about booking for 25. We booked 4 out of 6 of the acts who come from first responder backgrounds (Federal Police Officer and 3 paramedics). We do our best, and given we have numerous years under our belt delivering shows at corporate functions, we have always found it adds a lot of value to have some familiarity and rapport the industries we perform in.
What do you suggest would be an itinerary?
5PM - get together at the Leederville Precinct. ABN group provide free parking after 5PM. Or take the train to Leederville Train Station, and walk 100m to the Leederville Hotel.
If you want to stay within the compound, show your ticket at The Garden or Servo in Leederville and you'll get 10% off your bill! Or if nothing fancies you, there's plenty of fantastic restaurants around to choose from.
7:00 PM - doors open. Come in upstairs at the Red Room. You'll be greeted by our friendly door staff. There's a bar at the show, with plenty of great comedy themed cocktails exclusive to the show. Want us to set up a bar tab? Sure no problem, let us know in advance and we can arrange this for you.
8PM - enjoy 2 brackets of comedy. In an approximately 90-100 minute show, enjoy a break in the middle to fetch a drink and recover from the belly laugh!
9:30pm - have a drink downstairs with your colleagues before calling it a night! You'll be pleasantly surprised at how great and accessible live comedy is in WA!
